unfortunate happening

This is Daisy's daughter Lydia writing.

It is with much sadness that I inform you all that unfortunately my Mum passed away this morning.

She has been ill throughout this week becoming increasing weak and confused by last night. Last night we had decided to get her into hospital this morning however this was too late as this morning I discovered her. My dad had been sleeping in a seperate room to enable her proper rest. We do not yet know the official cause of death. She has been taken away and most likely a post mortem will be carried out on Monday.

She spoke of her blog to me often and the friends she had made through this. I really wanted to find a way to let you all know.

If anybody would like to contact us please leave a comment and I'll give you my email address.

Lots of love

Lydia xxx

Hi Lydia,
Mrs. Nesbitt (Denise) just rang me with this terrible news. I'm so, so sorry to hear it. You poor darling you must feel in shock. Words can't express how we feel. We met your mum at Thirsk when we had a Glitter Sisters meeting there, she was a wonderful lady who took everything in her stride. My husband died suddenly in 1999 and I can empathise on how you feel. At the moment probably numbness. If you every need to talk please feel free to email me for my number. I will light a candle for you and your dad tonight and ask that the Glitter Sisters do the same. Sending lots of hugs to you all.

Love and light Sue in North yorkshire

Dear Lydia
I didn't know your mum, but my best friend Claire is one of her blogging friends and they met up earlier this year with some of the other Glitter Sisters in Thirsk. I know Claire adored your mum and will be devasted to hear this news. Claire is herself in hospital after suffering a stoke some weeks ago. I'm sending thoughts and empathy on her behalf.

What words can anyone say at a time like this. We all try but feel so inadequate. Just know that your mom was loved by so many who never even met her. I loved reading her blog and sharing a friendship through email and participating in all our wonderful swaps. She will be missed terribly by all of us.

I am in total shock. There are tears running down my face for a friend I've never met. I was introduced to her through her blogs just a few months ago. Her blog was among the first I'd read every day. She sent such kind comments to me. I hope you do not close down her blog as I would still like to re-visit it.

Lydia I am so very deeply saddened by the loss of your mum...I cannot imagine the pain it must have caused you to lose the woman who was so immensely PROUD of YOU! Who spoke nothing but beautiful kind words of you, I think you must have been the light of her life. She adored you. She made sure we all knew it too, through her blogging.
I am so very sorry for yours and your family's loss, please accept my condolences.
Blog land won't be the same without your mum's poetry events and storytelling events...
Much love and light,

Dear Lydia,
I think of you as SweetPea since that is how your sweet mum would always refer to you - I have been crying for the last 15 minutes since I read the news on Violettes message board and I am still in shock, I can only imagine how shocked and saddened you and your family must be. My heart goes out to you all. Even though we only knew each other through blogging and e-mails, her words conveyed so much wisdom, love and beauty and meant so much to me and so many others. It was always evident in her words about you and all of her family, how much love and pride she had in all of you. I hope it helps a little, to know how much she was loved by so many others in the world, who will be sorely missing her, too.

Sending loving, healing thoughts of peace and light to all of you.
Many, many (((HUGS))) to you all. XOXO

I am so sorry about your mum. We made friends in our blogs and I have a quilt square that she made in a quilt swap. I will cherish that square and will remember her great art and writings. May God give you and your father the strenght to get through the loss of your mum. I know when you loose your mum you loose your best friend. You and your family will be in my prayers.
God Bless you
